Danna Liebert is the owner and designer behind Grounded Growth Landscape Design, specializing in low-water landscapes featuring Colorado native plants. Based in Englewood, Colorado, Grounded Growth serves Denver and surrounding Front Range communities with ecological landscape design, installation and maintenance.
Danna designed and installed Depot Prairie Park, a native plant habitat park created for the City of Englewood. engaged.englewoodco.gov/depot-pollinator-park.
Danna serves on the Board of Directors for Wild Ones Front Range, the Colorado chapter of a national non-profit organization that promotes landscaping with native plants and environmentally sound practices. Danna is a Certified Colorado Gardener through CSU Extension.
Before coming to landscaping, Danna worked as a freelance documentary producer in New York City, earning an Emmy and a nominated for a second. In 2006, after the birth of her son, she left film production to raise her son and teach yoga.
In 2013, Danna and her family moved to Colorado, where she had a yard for the first time ever. She replaced her front lawn with a low-water wildscape, beginning a life-changing discovery of a practice that brought together her passion for creating visual art with her desire to take meaningful action in response to climate change. Today, Danna is a passionate advocate and implementer of climate-resilient, naturalistic landscapes that restore ecological function, conserve limited natural resources, and nourish people, insects, and wildlife.
